The EASA (Agenzia dell’Unione Europea per la Sicurezza Aerea) Regulation distinguishes three categoris of drone operations: Open, Specific and Certified category. To operate in the Specific category, in the absence of a standard scenario or an adequate Pre-Defined Risk Assessment (PDRA), a UAS operator must prepare a risk analysis and submit it to the competent authority, to obtain the authorisation to operate.

EuroUSC Italia offers technical and administrative support to operators for the preparation and submission to the competent authority of all the documents required to operate with a drone in the Specific category, in particular:

• Declarations for operations according to standard scenarios (STS)
• Authorisations for operations according to Pre-Defined Risk Assessment (PDRA)
• Authorisations for any kind of operation not included within STS or PDRA
• Authorisations to access controlled and regulated airspaces (e.g. NOTAM and access to zones P, R, D)
• Authorisation for cross-border operations

EuroUSC Italia guides a drone operator through the complete authorisation process, from the gathering, verification, updating, and eventual integration of the technical documentation (Flight Manual, Maintenance Manual, Operations Manual), to the assessment of operational risks, providing support to the preparation of the Risk Analysis for operations in ‘Specific’ category, not included within STS or PDRA.
